Services provided by Tapping House cost over £6 million a year to run, with less than a third of that funded by the NHS.
We rely on the kindness and generosity of people just like you to fund the majority of this cost.
Every donation, no matter the size, brings hope and comfort to those who need it most. Together, we can make sure that no one in our community faces their final moments without the care, compassion, and dignity they deserve.
Each year we care for around 1,500 patients at the end of their lives and support 4,500 patient families to find their way after losing someone important to them. Your donation really does matter as every single penny donated helps us provide exceptional care services to individuals and families during some of life’s most challenging times.
Our hospice and service hub proudly supports 6,000 patients and family members each year.
“There has never been a time of such financial pressure. We are extremely lucky to have an amazing community behind us who have always stepped up.”

First Class treatment for Penny
“’There are no ‘upgrades’ – every one of their patients is treated as first class.’ Penny enjoyed travelling and getting out, seeing and meeting people. Even in those pandemic days.”
Tapping House was there for Bernard
“The Hospice has been life saving for me. It’s seven months since Bernard died and I still attend the monthly coffee mornings for the bereaved and the monthly stroll together.”
