Support Tapping House in 2026!

Looking ahead to 2026

Our calendar for 2026 is shaping up to be a special one,  full of events that bring our community together while supporting local hospice care. Whether you love a social evening, a family-friendly fundraiser, or a meaningful challenge, there’s something for everyone.

Gift it Again

Declutter and donate unwanted gifts. Please don’t push these to the back of the cupboard or send these to landfill. We can absolutely make use of them at Tapping House. These will either go to one of our many Charity Shops or used in one of our Raffles or Tombola’s to raise vital funds for the Hospice.

Volunteer

Sign up to become a volunteer. We’re always delighted to welcome new people, and there are plenty of roles to choose from. You don’t always need to commit to a regular day, you can simply lend a hand when you’re able, whether that’s at one of our events or by offering general support at the Hospice.

Leave a Gift in Your Will

By leaving a gift to Tapping House in your Will, you will make sure that your legacy is one of kindness, compassion and lasting impact – helping to make every moment matter for those who need it most.

Become a Friend of Tapping House

Our Friends of Tapping House are a group of people who support us regularly with a gift, either monthly, quarterly or annually, and of any amount. Our Friends make it possible for us to plan with confidence, meet growing demand, and be there for local people when they need us most.

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank our existing ‘Friends of Tapping House’ for their incredible support in 2025, the amount raised can pay for over 650 counselling sessions, including transport, for a recently bereaved family member.

As Tapping House celebrates 40 years of outstanding care, our commitment to patients and families has never been stronger, and neither has our need for support.

Every year, thousands of people across Norfolk and North Cambridgeshire turn to Tapping House at some of the most difficult moments of their lives. We are there from the point of diagnosis, through treatment, uncertainty, and end of life, supporting not only patients, but the families who walk alongside them.

Only 24% of our £6.8 million annual budget is funded by government sources. The remaining 76% – £5.2 million must be raised by our community in 2026.

It funds:

  • Compassionate care in our Inpatient Unit
  • Hospice at Home teams travelling 60,000 miles a year to reach people where they need us most
  • Rapid Response services when time matters most
  • Emotional, pastoral and bereavement support for families before and after loss
  • Holistic therapies that give comfort, dignity and quality of life
  • Without this vital fundraising, these services simply could not continue at their current level or reach everyone who needs them.

In 2026, we are asking our supporters to stand with us, as they have done for the past 40 years, to ensure that compassionate, expert hospice care remains available for every patient and family who needs it, today and for generations to come.
