Our impeccable care services reach 4,500 people every year. We care deeply about providing people with choice, providing physical, emotional and spiritual support on every step of their journey.
Most patients are referred to us through their GP or health professional. Find out more about all the access to care that’s available to you here at Tapping House.
Every one of our courageous patients receives individual care suited to their own needs. If you’d like to be referred to the Dr Hugh Inpatient Unit, just speak to your doctor or healthcare professional. We’ll arrange to visit you at home or in the hospital before your admission to make sure we understand your needs and can plan your care effectively. Our focus is on short-term admissions, with an average stay of two to four weeks. Our goal is to help you return home whenever possible, unless you prefer to receive rest-of-life care here with us.
More and more people wish to die peacefully in the comfort of their own home. But it can be very challenging to care for someone you love who is very poorly and in discomfort. Our Hospice at Home service allows patients to stay in their preferred place of care, making it possible for them to spend their final days with dignity, surrounded by family, and receiving the expert care that Tapping House is known for.
Our Tulip Centre offers a range of day services, activities, and therapies designed to enhance the quality of life for individuals facing life-limiting illnesses. Our team are here to help you navigate uncertainty, chat through challenges and together find ways for you to get on with living your life to the full.
Asking for help when faced with losing a loved one is a sign of strength, not weakness. Seeking support on financial advice or thinking about care planning for the future, we have over 40 years’ experience that’s available for anyone to access. Our multi-faith support is here no matter your faith providing comfort and guidance during illness and following loss.
