Preparing for the Final Chapter
Understanding the End of Life
Facing the final stages of life can be emotionally challenging and uncertain. Preparing for the Final Chapter is an educational session developed by our experienced hospice team to help people feel more informed, supported, and confident during one of life’s most difficult journeys.
This session is grounded in the compassionate care we provide every day at Tapping House. Whether you’re supporting someone at the end of life or working in healthcare, this session gives you the knowledge and reassurance to understand what dying looks like, how to plan, and how to say goodbye.
For Healthcare Professionals
This professional version of the session is designed for GPs, nurses, care home staff, and other clinical teams working with people in their last year of life.
Includes:
- Understanding the physical signs of deterioration
- Communicating with patients and families
- Supporting holistic care at the end of life
