A little over a year ago, Tapping House unveiled a refreshed brand identity, symbolising a hopeful new chapter in our mission to provide exceptional rest-of-life care. Our new look is built around a vibrant, meaningful emblem: the Dragonfly.
We are now simply known as Tapping House. This change, and the adoption of the Dragonfly, is about much more than just a new look, it reflects the heart of who we are, our values, and our vision for the future.
The Dragonfly is a powerful and perfect symbol for Tapping House. It embodies:
CEO Nicola Ellis shares, “Our brand refresh captures the compassion, care, and support that lie at the core of everything we do. This is a symbol that will carry us all forward as we adapt and embrace change.”
This rebrand signals our continued commitment to providing excellence in rest-of-life care for patients and their families across Norfolk or North Cambridgeshire
As we look forward to celebrating 40 years of service, this new identity represents a renewed investment in our people, our patients, and our facilities.
Our Dr Hugh Ford Inpatient Unit provides round-the-clock clinical care and support for those living with life-limiting conditions, while our Hospice at Home and Tulip Centre teams extend that care into the community, ensuring that every person receives compassionate, individualised support wherever they are.
We are also strengthening our commitment to our extraordinary team of caregivers and staff through enhanced training and wellbeing initiatives. This reflects our determination to remain a beacon of excellence and compassion in hospice care.
Exceptional care is built on innovation, dedication, and the continued support of our community.
While we face the same funding challenges as many hospices, we remain deeply grateful for the generosity of those who help us provide vital services — from fundraising and volunteering to partnerships and gifts in memory.
We serve one of the highest ageing populations in the country — 26% of people are over 65, compared to 19% nationally — and the need for our care is growing. To meet this growing need, we must expand our reach into more homes and add more beds, ensuring that everyone can spend their final months with choice and dignity.
It costs £6.7 million a year — over £500,000 each month — to deliver our services. With less than 25% of funding from the government, the rest comes from people like you.
Every donation, every hour volunteered, and every act of kindness helps us continue to provide exceptional care for patients and families across Norfolk and North Cambridgeshire.
Whether you choose to donate, volunteer, or fundraise, your support ensures that no one faces life’s final journey alone.
