More than a Hospice – a place to live well.

From the moment of diagnosis, Tapping House is here for patients and families—offering expert care, connection and hope. We believe hospice care is about life, helping people live fully, with dignity and meaning, for as long as possible.

Visitors are often surprised by the warmth and energy here. A serious diagnosis can feel isolating, so alongside therapies to support mobility and independence, we help people stay connected to family, friends, and community.

Too many still don’t know this. You can help change that—by sharing our story, challenging misconceptions and ensuring more people receive the support they deserve from the very start.

Our challenge & how we fund our work

We serve one of the highest ageing populations in the country – 26% over 65, compared to 19% nationally – and the need is growing.

We are committed to meeting this challenge. To do that, we must expand our reach into more homes and add more beds — so that everyone can spend their final months with choice and dignity.

It costs £6.7 million a year (over £500,000 a month) to deliver our services, with less than 25% from government sources. The rest comes from people like you.

How you can help:

  • Make a donation
  • Fundraise or join an event
  • Play our lottery
  • Partner with us as a business
  • Put us in touch with a trust or foundation
  • Leave a gift in your will
  • Shop in our network of 10 retail stores

Looking Ahead — Our Vision for the Future

Our vision is simple: that everyone in Norfolk or North Cambridgeshire should be offered choice and excellent rest of life care when facing a life-limiting illness.

We invite you to come and see the Hospice for yourself — walk through our gardens, share a cuppa in our café and meet the people whose kindness and expertise bring comfort every day.

Hospice care is not about endings — it’s about living fully and finding hope in the hardest moments.

Together, we can shape the future of hospice care for the next 40 years and beyond.
